Not the ringer we expected

Not the ringer we expected

Fast Food chains are always looking for new offerings to attract consumers. Variations should be limitless yet it is rarely really out of the ordinary. Still, here in this corner we decided to give a shot to Harvey’s newest burger: The Angus BBQ Bacon Ringer Melt. So you get a 100 per cent Canadian, flame grilled Angus burger topped with BBQ sauce, cheese, bacon and Onion Rings on a toasted bun. As always, you top your burger with your choice of fixings. I fired up the app to get it to go from the Saint-Joseph Boulevard location in Hull. First things first, Harvey’s informed me that they were currently experiencing supply challenges with their gravy. Kelsey’s 2020 Burger Battle

Kelsey’s is back with its famous Burger Battle, featuring creations from four of its Original Roadhouse locations across Canada. Welcome to Boondocks Restaurant and Bar, Lyons Falls, New York. Walking in the place is its own adventure. They’ve got the rustic feel, with lots of wood…

Five Stars for the Five Guys!

Sometimes, life sucks. And when it does, you need to make it better. And today, life sucked. And one way to make it better, is to go for comfort food. Mel and I were both in need of comfort food, and, good thing was, lunch time had arrived. I asked her what she would like and she said she could use a good burger. Now, I know that Mel is not keen on fast food chains such as Burger King or Wendy’s. She doesn’t mind Harvey’s or A&W but will reject McDonald’s 99% of the time. This wasn’t what she needed anyway. I thought of The Works, I thought of Hintonburger… But something else popped up in my mind: Five Guys – Burgers and Fries. Ever since their arrival in Ottawa was pointed out to me by a great member of the Waffler nation, Big Turk, I meant to try…
