IKEA meatballs right at home!

I guess some good can come out of a pandemic. If you like to shop at IKEA and plan your shopping spree in order to have to get lunch there so you can enjoy their iconic meatballs at their restaurant, IKEA has got your back. No, you cannot order their KÖTTBULLAR meatballs online. They are sold frozen, so that might not be the best idea. IKEA sells more than 1 billion of their meatballs every year. They know people are missing them. So IKEA has released a homestyle version of their iconic recipe, as a classic instruction manual.

Ragoût de pattes de cochon!

Ms. Waffle is currently spending some time improving her French skills.  Good on her. Turns out, one of her teacher is Italian. Sì, signore. Massi has a PHD in French Literature. And he apparently has an obsession with French Canadian culture. Good on him. Recently, Massi asked her about the traditional Quebec holiday dish: Le ragoût de pattes de cochon. Basically, a pork stew. He’d never had it, and was wondering if it tasted as good as it sound.  She asked me about it, and ever since, I’d been craving it. So today after work, I got to work. I had gotten the supplies over the weekend and was ready to roll. My Bacon Explosion

Ken was the first one to alert me to this new smoked delicacy called the Bacon Explosion, back in 2011. “If this doesn’t say “I love Canada” – nothing does. Mind you, your heart may end up stopping after simply reading it,” he said. The recipe was from the BBQ Addicts website and had slowly gone viral, with the New York Times publishing it’s adaptation of the recipe. BBQ Addicts came up with the recipe after being asked by Bacon Today to provide some barbecue bacon recipes. So the BBQ Sausage Recipe of all Recipes was born.
